Timeline: American History and Timeline: Americana add new themes for the Timeline series. Do you know your American History or Pop Culture? Test yourself and your friends with these games.
Timeline: American History and Americana play the exact same way as all the other games in the series. If you have never played any of the games you can read my overview of the rules and review here.
American History is all about the history of the United States from its discovery to the election of Barrack Obama. The Americana set focuses on American popular culture.
While these new sets don’t bring any new mechanics to the series they do offer more options for the timeline you want to create. I do wish they had distinct marking on the cards that told you the set the cards belonged. It would make it easier to mix sets and create unique timelines.
If you like American History or Popular Culture you will like these games. They are both educational for children especially the American History set. Having two sets of Timeline increases the replay value of the game a lot. So you might want to pick up both of these or just add one to an existing set.
