Board game reviews, strategy tips & session reports
There are three Hero Expansions for Defenders of the Realm. Hero Expansion #1 contains new heroes, global effects and a new paladin miniature. These add more variety to Defenders of the Realm without disrupting the game’s balance.
Thornwood Siege is an expansion for Thunderstone and while it does not introduce any major new elements, it is a great set for its synergy and some spite.
The Dragon Expansion for Defenders of the Realm adds some tougher generals, a few variants and a lot more replayability to the base game.
Dragonspire is both the third expansion for Thunderstone and a stand-alone game. It replaces some of the original components and adds new elements to the gameplay.
Doomgate Legion is the second expansion for Thunderstone. It adds Treasures, Mercenaries, new Diseases and more Monsters and Heroes. Do all these new elements add up to a better game or is it just more of the same?
