Say Anything is party game by the makers of Wits and Wagers. If you have played and enjoy Apples to Apples and Wits and Wagers, then you are sure to like this game. Say Anything is a great blend of these great party games.
In each round of Say Anything one player reads one question of their choice from the card they draw. All questions start out “In my opinion…” The other players must answer the question as if you were the reader. The reader then secretly votes on the answer they like best. After that the other players bet using two chips on which answer they think the reader selected as the best answer.
You score as the selector by having other people vote for the answer you choose (one point per vote). If you answered the question you receive points by either betting on the correct answer (one per correct chip) or by writing the best answer (one point). No one may score more than 3 points in a round.
The number of questions each player asks is based on the number of players. Also if 2 players write the same answer then the second player to write the answer must try again.
Like I said above Say Anything is a blend of Apples to Apples and Wits and Wagers. It is a fun experience and is easy to learn. There are bound to be lots of laughs and fun interaction while you play.
We played this over Thanksgiving with family (including a 9-year old) and it was a hit with gamers and non-gamers alike. Most who had played Wits and Wagers said they it liked better. Some gamers do not like games that do not have definitive goals and objectives. They don’t like relying on another person’s opinion. But if you like guessing what other people think and like you’ll enjoy this.
I do think if you play with a mixed group of friends who may not know each other it can be tough for those not in on inside jokes. But all in all Say Anything is a solid party game that most anyone can enjoy!

Jason,
Thanks for the great review of Say Anything! I think you really understand in what spirit the game should be played and how well it works in a group of non-gamers.
Just for the sake of full disclosure, I work with North Star Games.
Best,
Luke.
