Pirate vs Pirate Rules Description:

Pirate vs Pirate is all about grabbing some loot and bringing it back to your boat. Unfortunately your opponents want to do the same thing. Can you get the loot faster or stop them from getting back to their boat?

In Pirate vs Pirate you start the game with six pirates. On your turn you roll the dice and must move that amount. You cannot go through a space twice on your turn, but may turn as often as you like.

If you land on an opponent’s pirate it is eliminated. If you pass next to a coin you can pick one up. Pirates that are carrying a coin cannot attack other pirates.

There are three silver coins and a gold one. You must bring the coins back to your boat. The tricky part is you must land on the boat with an exact dice roll.

Once a player has returned one gold coin or two silver coins to their boat the game is over and they are the winner.

A Quick Review of Pirate vs Pirate:

Pirate vs Pirate is an excellent three player family game. It doesn’t take long and is easy to play.
Even though the box says 8+ younger kids can play this too.

If you are considering whether to get Pirate vs Pirate or Ninja vs Ninja, I’d say it depends on the number of players. For two players Ninja vs is better, but for three players Pirate vs Pirate is better.

You can play with two but the game plays better with three players. That is one of its greatest strengths. It is not easy to find a three player family game that is balanced, quick to play and fun.
Adults and children will both enjoy this light filler for three.
