Blokus 3D is an abstract puzzle game where you build a structure and score points based on which of your pieces are showing from the top down view.
To begin you select a structure that all players will build together. Each player chooses a color which consists of 11 different 3D pieces. The first player places one of their pieces on the board within the confines of the structure. After that each player must place a piece so that it touches one face of a previously placed piece.
After the first round you must place a piece so that is touches one face of your previously laid pieces. Depending on the number of players and the chosen structure there are height restrictions. When laying a piece you cannot create gaps or tunnels that cannot be filled from above. You cannot place a piece so that it extends outside the perimeter of the structure.
If you have a move you must take it. You cannot pass. When you are unable to lay a piece you may no longer lay any pieces. Once no one can legally lay a piece the game ends.
You tally your score by looking down on the structure. For each square of your color showing you get one point. The player with the most points wins.
Blokus 3D is a fun family game that both adults and children can enjoy. It is not difficult to learn, teach and play. It plays quick and there are a variety of structures you can make. You can even go online and find fan-made structures for even more variety and challenge.
The gameplay is simple and straightforward and very quick some people may not like Blokus 3D for these reasons. Blokus 3D is not for everyone. If you don’t like abstract games you will probably not enjoy this game.
Blokus 3D can help develop your spatial thinking, planning and decision-making. If you like packing your car, you should enjoy this game.
As I said above Blokus 3D is great for kids, educational, and fun for most anyone. It definitely fills a niche in my collection.

You say structure the rules say mask. Neither say both. Are we supposed to make the 3D predestined structure with in the mask or any structure regarding hight regulation within the mask outline?
Sorry for the inconsistent terms. You must build your structure within the mask and follow the height restrictions too.
