Batman Fluxx is full of your favorite caped crusader’s allies and enemies. If you can reach the Goal in this ever-changing game you win.
Batman Fluxx uses the same rules and format of all Fluxx games. The rules start simple but new rules can be added and the Goal is always changing. There are action cards that let draw cards or create more chaos and surprise cards that let you take actions out of turn.
Keepers help you meet the goals and in this set they are Batman, Robin, Batgirl. Some Keepers have a special ability like the Bank. It lets you draw two extra cards on your turn.
Creepers are villains like The Joker, Bane, The Riddler and Poison Ivy. When anyone has a Creeper in front of them it prevents everyone from meeting the goal and winning. Good thing the hero Keepers let you remove one Creeper from play. You can win with a Creeper if the Goal requires a Creeper. For instance, The Joker Got Away! Goal requires you to have The Joker and Batmobile in front of you.
You play through the deck reshuffling if it runs out. But once someone meets the current Goal they win.
Batman Fluxx is like most games of Fluxx, random and chaotic. I like the theme and kids have enjoyed playing it too. It is very accessible, but some younger kids may have a hard time with the rule and Goal changes.
The art in this game is fantastic. I really like the choices for the illustrations. The rules are easy to read and follow.
I think this is my favorite Fluxx yet. The theme is cool and doesn’t add new rules to this simple streamlined game. I don’t always enjoy the randomness of Fluxx but my kids really embraced this version. That makes me like it more and gets it to the table more often.
If you are a Batman fan and are looking for a filler, check out Batman Fluxx.
