PAX Unplugged 2024 was huge. This year adult tickets were totally sold out. Both for each individual day and the full 3-day weekend pass. There were lots of publishers to visit, new games to see, and fun to be had. The game library was vast and there was lots of area for open play. I had a great time, got to network, and see and play some fun new board games.
War of the Ring the Card Game shares the name of one of the best board games IMHO. Though it does not deliver the same epic experience, it does bring its own unique gameplay to your table.
Dungeons and Dragons has an updated Player’s Handbook for 2024. It contains new subclasses, feats, weapons and spells. There are too many changes to cover in one post but here are some of the highlights.
KAPOW! Vol 2 is a stand alone expansion that adds six more characters for you to play. Also if you have both Vol 1 and 2, you have enough player boards to give the 2-vs-2 team mode a try.
Dungeons and Dragons turned 50 this year and 5th edition is soon to be revised. Vecna Eve of Ruin is an epic campaign that includes many of the game’s iconic characters and locations and a culmination of 5e to this point.
