The All Creatures Big and Small app is a digital version of the analog two player, worker placement game about animal husbandry. You must gather resources, build structures and breed animals to score VPs and win.
All Creatures Big and Small takes place over eight rounds. At the end of the game you score points based on the number of sheep, pigs, cows and horses you have collected.
Each round is made up of three turns. On your turn you place one of your workers on an action space and resolve immediately resolve that action. If some action spaces are not used one round they will accumulate more resources and/or animals.
In order to keep the animals you collect you need a place for them on your farm. So you build fences, stables and feeding troughs in your fields. Each of these structures allows a different number of animals to be housed there. The catch is you cannot mix two types of animals in the same field or pasture.
At the end of the round your animals breed. If you have two or more of an animal you add one more of that type of animal to your farm. If you do not have a place to house the new animal it runs away.
One action space allows you to build special structures that let you score in other ways. For instance the Storage Building scores you .5 points for every wood or stone resource you have at the end of the game.
Once the eight rounds are over you score VPs based on your animals, buildings and special building. The player with the highest score wins.
